Ransom

So, I'm a dad... We had our SON in December of last year and he's about four months now. This is like nothing i've ever done or experienced. Every day is something new and exciting and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Right before he was born I wrote this song for him, which may explain why we named him Ransom: "God, can you hear me? I feel I'm crying out so many times. I know that You've called me, and millions of Your blessings come to mind. But now as I approach what can I bring? What sort of gift is fit for You my King? And so I see You ask me for just one: In giving You my one and only son... I know what You've taught me All Your sacred words run through my mind, But now my words betray me When I said I'd trust in You all of my life. Now You say Your logic breaks all reason To make amends for all that we have done So the sun will shine in each and every season And I'll always know the weight of what You've done... So Ransom you were named this for a reason To glorify the Son that had to die And save us from the death within our treason So that we can live with Him in this new life..." Thanks for reading.

There are firsts for everything.

I've never had anything like this before. I usually carried around a notebook with song lyrics or random phrases I liked, but i've never had a BLOG...
So here goes a new chapter in my life:
I'm newly married (just over 9 months...
I'm a musician trying to make a difference through music...
I recently (2 or so months ago) became the worship leader at my church...
I am going into my final year of Bible College...
and,
I really only signed up for one of these so that I could:
1)Put cute comments on my wife's blog, and
2)Have someplace that I can vent and/or share thoughts...
